Lovely stay. Very close to the city centre. 10-15 min walk to everything. Lovely bars, restaurants, cafe and local shop 2 mins down the road. Parking not on site but hosts have a great arrangement with a local business 2 mins walk away that is extremely reasonable compared with the council parking further up the road. Would happily book again.

Spencer House was the perfect house for a few days away with the family. We had 3 under 3's in tow and the house was a great base for exploring and also relaxing at the end of the day. Just an easy 15 minutes walk into the centre, it was easy to see all of Yorks sights. There's even a lovely high street a few minutes walk from the house with shops, butchers and bars!

Very clean, comfortable and close to city walls about a 10-15 min walk from the train station. Modern decor, nice kitchen/dining, social space perfect for socialising and family get together. Tourist information and pictures of local attractions around the house were a nice touch. Good communication before and during our visit from the host who responded very quickly when we needed assistance.

Really comfortable, relaxing place. Close to centre of York but quiet. Interesting shops and a good range of bars and restaurants just around the corner. We made good use of the discount cards provided. A lovely place for a short break in York!

Firstly our host Alistair was amazing, really attentive and could not do enough for us to make sure our stay was the best it could be. Secondly the accommodation was also amazing. Immaculately clean and tidy, so very well presented and so much space to really relax, the games room in the basement was a very nice bonus to go down and chill. The house is located just 100m from entry to the York walls and a short walk to the city centre. Perfect house, perfect location and perfect host.

We stayed a week in the two apartments 107/109. Nice to have both privacy, and the option of spending time together. A bit hectic to be four people who want to use the bathroom at the same time, but if you are on vacation that probably will not be a problem. Superfun to be able to play pool/snooker! Very friendly and flexible hosts!

Our stay was great, the location is fantastic just a short walk to the centre and there is a fab high street just around the corner. Alistair was kind enough to let us know everything was ready ahead of time, which was a huge help. Communication was so responsive and helpful throughout.

Easiest check in by far we've had at an airbnb. The house was clean, comfortable, with lovely touches like some milk and basics to help make the stay easier. The kids loved borrowing the books. Thank you Claire and Alistair, we would definitely book again if in York.

Amazing, the home and York were lovely, wish we could have been able to stay longer.

The location was perfect for everything. The parking wasn’t easy as car parks recommended were full, but a local told us to park in the racecourse. That was good, dropped bags off, went and parked.

We were a group of nine old Uni friends and we used all three houses listed (House of York). There was sufficient room at 107 to gather together for breakfasts and early evening drinks before going on to restaurants locally and in the city centre.

Our base was perfect for us...local amenities, cafes, bars and restaurants and it was easy to walk into the city centre for sightseeing purposes. Clare and Alistair provide lots of local information on York which is helpful. Over our three nights, we had a wonderful stay.

We recently had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful house in York. It was the perfect place to stay with such easy access to the centre of York. The owners have a very efficient arrangement with a local guest house, where you can park the car for £10 a day. Once parked we were able to walk in and out of York with everything being around 10 minutes away. The local high street is the perfect place for a beautiful breakfast before a day of exploring York.
