York walks - The York Dick Turpin Walk

Things that a lot of people don’t know about Dick Turpin:
He retired (changed his name and went into hiding) in York after a busy career of highwaymaning.
He probably did not have to put up with many nob jokes even though he was called dick and was eventually caught because he shot a neighbour's cock - well gamecock.
He had a dog called Nell that he liked to take for a walk round York.
This is more than likely the walk he did, its a circular walk that takes you around lots of the historic York places. Try not to hold up anyone on the way as doing this did not end well for Dick - it got him in the dock and then he was well hung - see I told you there were loads of nob jokes.
