Questions that you will not get answers to from The Yorkshire Philosophical Society include:
Why is Yorkshire Pudding a pudding?
If you put a Yorkshire Tea bag in a sealed tin box is it really there?
Who designed and built the A64 and why are they not in prison?
A question they can answer (and the answer would be - it was us!) is…… Who originally set up the Yorkshire Museum in the 1830’s as a place that people could come and learn about biology, geology, archaeology, numismatics and astronomy?
The museum is a bit like if you took some of the Science Museum stuff and some things from the Natural History museum then added some Yorkshire stuff and squished it all together. My kids favourites are the dinosaurs and the monsters of the deep exhibition.
It also has a fab Museum garden thats a great place for a picnic overlooking the river and the abby ruins.
