Ambiente Tapas York and where to find the York Discount Vouchers to eat for less

We nearly bought a holiday home business in Andalucia due to my love of afternoon naps and Tapas but in the end we chose York - mainly for the non stop sunshine. Luckily we can still get the tapas on our trips to Ambiente.
Ambiente Tapas can be found on one of York’s best restaurantee streets, Goodramgate - they also have one on Fossgate but we like this one because you can eat downstairs and watch the world go by or sit upstairs in the main restaurant.
The dishes are created by their chef’s trips to Spain touring the regions finding the best Tapas dishes. However I'm not sure where they are going on these trips because as nice as the dishes are I could not see any that involved or were inspired by straw donkeys dressed in flamenco dresses, 2 for 1 Jägerbombs or full english breakfasts.
What we love to eat there
Croquetas de Jamón (Jamón & cheese croquette with chipotle ketchup)
Patties Bravas (Triple cooked sagitta potatoes served with a spicy tomato sauce & alioli).
The Sherry, they have lots and its not the 70’s with your parents stuff

There are so many things to do, see and eat in York that you could write a book on it, so we did. But this is not a guide to everything that is York, it’s really just our favourite things and more importantly the one’s that when our guests ask, we recommend.
