York Open Studios is an annual community arts event which celebrates the best artists and makers living or working within a ten-mile radius of the city of York across a range of disciplines including ceramics, furniture, glass, jewellery, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, wood-carving, and multi-media.
Many artists use the event to invite the public into their workspaces, others share venues or exhibit their work in other spaces available to them if their workshops are not.
This year marks its 20th anniversary of the event.
